‘On Cloud Nine’ with Implants

Mrs. P. was ecstatic about her new implants.  She lost her upper front teeth through gum disease and had to wear a denture. She found the denture very embarrassing and lost all her confidence.  Dr. Kee placed some implants and fitted a fixed bridge for her.  This turned out to be a life-changing experience for Mrs. P.

Shortly after she had her implants, her daughter got engaged and Dr. Kee was invited to the engagement.  On that day, Mrs. P. was so happy she was in tears and gave Dr. Kee a huge hug.  As she said, ‘Today my daughter is getting engaged and I can smile as much as I want without worrying about my denture falling out.’

Our staff at Oadby Dental Clinic are just as delighted for Mrs. P.  Dr. Kee who fitted the implants said, ‘This is the reason I do the job I do.  It is the most rewarding thing to know you have been able to help someone better their lives.  Implants can have a big impact on people’s lives.’
Whether you have one tooth missing or no teeth at all, implants are possible.  Dr. Kee will be delighted to do a consultation.

Congratulations to Carmel
Many congratulations to Carmel who recently passed her dental nurse exam, and is now officially a qualified dental nurse.  Carmel worked hard and has now been rewarded.  This is in line with our practice policy to always improve on the quality of care we provide to our patients.  Our other nurses are hoping to emulate Carmel soon.

Speedy Recovery to Jackie

We wish Jackie, our practice manager, a speedy recovery. She suffered a minor fracture in her right hand following a car accident recently. She is now in plaster for eight weeks. We are already missing her very much!

Trip to Washington
In his quest for further knowledge, Dr. Kee was in Washington D.C. in January where he attended a 3-day course on implants at the prestigious George Washington University. He said President Obama requested to see him but he had to turn him down because of his busy schedule!

Teeth Grinding
Dentists have noticed more people are grinding their teeth as a result of the recession. Stress caused by the loss of employment and all its consequences lead to people grinding their teeth. Normally if this becomes a problem, dentists can provide you with a mouthguard.
