Wedding Bells for Simon

Simon got married earlier this year, and wanted his big day to be perfect in every way. He was always unhappy with his teeth. They were irregular and crooked. Simon knew Dr Kee was into cosmetic dentistry, and who better to ask ! Dr Kee was only too delighted to help. After discussion with Simon, it was decided to put crowns on the upper four front teeth to straighten the teeth and close the gaps. The result was overwhelming. Simon was over the moon and could not wait to hitch his bride !

For Dr Kee, it was another job well-done and another very happy patient. This is what makes dentistry so satisfying.

New Age of Technology
Some of you may have noticed that we are slowly moving more and more towards the use of computers for our clinical and administrative work. It seems nothing escapes technology and we may as well embrace it ! We are hoping it will facilitate our work in the long term. All our appointments are now computerised and we do apologise to our patients if sometimes we are a bit slow or we make mistakes. We are still learning. Please be patient with us !

More Knowledge Implanted !
Dr Kee has successfully completed yet another year long course in implantology this autumn. You may recall that in 2008 he received his Certificate in Surgical & Prosthodontic Implantology from the University College London. Implants are now well established and are very successful. As a practice, we want to be able to offer our patients the latest treatment and technology. Whether you have one tooth missing or no tooth at all, implants can work for you. Dr Kee will be delighted to do a consultation for you and discuss your options.

Welcome Back to Vicki

Some of you may remember Vicki from quite a few years ago now. Vicki used to work at the Oadby Dental Clinic, and recently came back. In between, she has got married and now has a wonderful little daughter. Vicki is a qualified dental nurse. She has also gained a lot of experience working in different practices. We are sure her experience will be a valuable asset to the practice. We would like to extend a very warm welcome back to Vicki.

NHS Funding
As the new coalition government cuts back on public spending, dentistry has been no exception. Contrary to previous years, there has been no extra funding this year. Our practice has been forced to take the unfortunate decision of not taking on new NHS patients. However we do have a waiting list for patients who wish to join our practice on the NHS. As and when funding becomes available, we will reopen our list. We can still take new patients on privately. As a private patient, you will benefit from better quality material, better time slots for your appointment and a wider range of treatment. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our patients who keep recommending our practice to their friends and families.

Something is in the air !
A number of patients have noticed that their remote car keys do not work when they park their cars outside the practice. This problem has been ongoing for quite a few months now and we believe it is caused by radiowaves interference. We do apologise for this inconvenience and can only suggest that you use your car keys manually. We would also like to kindly ask our patients to please park their cars properly in the bays on the forecourt so that we can make maximum use of the limited parking spaces. Thank you.
